Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is the most commonly required admission test for graduate and business schools in the US. Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is an entrance test for admissions to quality business programs offered by eminent business schools worldwide. Administered by Graduate Management Admission Council, GMAT is a computer adaptive test that broadly assesses your analytical, writing, verbal, quantitative and reading skills.
Prospective students who want to apply to management programs like MBA can appear for GMAT for up to 5 times in any 12-month period. However, they cannot apply more than once in any 16-day period.

The International English Language Testing System, or IELTS, is a test of English language proficiency that can be taken for immigration, employment, and study.
There are two IELTS tests available, IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training. Both tests are graded in exactly the same way. All four language skills—speaking, reading, writing, and listening—are assessed in the IELTS exam. The entire test lasts less than three hours. The IELTS Listening test takes approximately 30 minutes and has a set of 40 questions. Each correct answer receives one mark. Scores out of 40 are converted to the IELTS 9-band scale.

Computer based tests are available on a daily basis in two different time slots. Listening, Reading and Writing are conducted without any break. Speaking is conducted on the same day via video call. The result is available within 3-4 working days. The test can be booked for a fee of 17000 INR at any centre. Single module retake can be given within 60 days of your original test.
Paper based tests are conducted twice a month at a designated centre. Reading and Writing are conducted without any break on the same day. Speaking is conducted 2-3 days before or after the other modules. Result is available up to 13 days. Examination fess is 17000 INR.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a test for English aptitude at any level for foreign universities. Administered by non-profit organization ETS (Educational Testing Service), TOEFL measures the ability of non-native speakers of English to use and understand English as it is spoken, written and heard in college and university settings. iBT stands for Internet Based Test which is the most common form of TOEFL conducted worldwide.

There are two types of PTE :
